For lunch we tried red wine Cabernet Sauvignon from city of Medana in Goriska Brda, Belica in west Slovenia, Europe. Year 2008. As we all know Cabernet Sauvignon comes from the Bordeaux region and is now one of the most cultivated red wine in the world, including in Brda is common. The wine is ruby red in color, richer alcohol, having the characteristic aroma of blueberries and strawberries. This wine was harvested exclusively by hand. Age of vines is 10-35 years. Climate is mediterranean, a blend of warm sea air and the influence of cold winds from the Alps. Best served at room temperature 16-18°C. Alc: 12,5%. This Cabernet Sauvignon is recommended with pork or roast beef or mature cheeses. Cheers.
