Cherry season has started.
I must admit I don’t know how to use it in this moden digital time. I just got an old analog SLR camera from my father. It’s a Minolta XG-1 with 50mm lens and 35mm film. Yes film. When the film is over, you must take it to the photo studio to develop pictures. I bought a KODAK 200 film for 24 pictures. Film is quite expensive 5,50€. So let’s start. Woo-hoo.
Season of mushrooms has started. So we started with fist mushrooms known as latin name Morchella esculenta or common morel, morel, yellow morel, true morel, morel mushroom, and sponge morel. If you try to eat it, you must first boil them for 10-15 minutes and then toast them with eggs. Don’t drink alcohol with this food. This is the way we ate them yesterday. Buon apetit.
The other day we ate venison, salami and medallions. We tried the prosciutto of bear, deer and wild boar. The chef suggested a red wine from Vipava Kosovel wine from Crnice. Is red wine blend of melot 80% and 20% Cabernet Sauvignon. Wine is very fresh, very fruity flavor and gives you the feeling that eating grapes. Fits to the dried meat products, sausages, prosciutto , pasta and aged cheese. Year: 2010. Dry wine. ALC: 12%. Cheers.
